Bala provided engineering services for the complete renovation of the MEP/FP systems including 850-8’ active chilled beams in classrooms, innovative air handling systems complete with heat recovery and carbon dioxide controls to improve indoor air quality, cogeneration, photovoltaic rooftop panel array, and high-efficiency lighting with more effective use of daylight to reduce artificial lighting levels.
The project included renovated classrooms, library and teaching facilities, corridors with new windows, flooring and wall finishes. Common core areas were livened up, the Science Center labs were expanded and the theater was redesigned to accommodate live broadcasts.
