This historic library recently unveiled its first major renovation since its original construction in 1927.  The Free Library of Philadelphia now has three new spaces featuring a cultural center, teen center and business and innovation center.

Bala has been working with the Free Library of Philadelphia at its Parkway Central location for over a decade providing phased renovations to the aging historic structure.  This current phase has taken over four years of coordination and over ten years to complete due to funding constraints.
Now that the new renovation is completed the library now has three new spaces: The Robert and Eileen Kennedy Heim Center for Cultural and Civic Engagement, the Marie and Joseph Field Teen Center and the Business Resoure and Innovation Center.

Bala provided the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services for the project.
