John is our business development leader in our Boston office. As a key member of our enterprise-wide BD team, John is focused on pursuing new opportunities, cultivating lasting relationships and advancing our strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Bala, John gained a keen knowledge of business development strategy and sales leadership in his previous roles within civil and forensic engineering companies. Through involvement in industry organizations and collaboration with strategic partners, John keeps Bala at the forefront of Boston’s corporate, real estate development, life science, education, and public markets.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
I enjoy being very involved in my community and all things sports. I coach off-season high school basketball and 8th grade in-season basketball. I am also the VP of the Swampscott Youth Football program, Director of Swampscott Flag Football, and I serve on the athletic field advisory committee. As a former Trustee of my Public Library, I got experience with Massachusetts municipal design and construction, and provided guidance on the development of a 30-year masterplan.
A little known fact about me…
When I was a practicing civil engineer, I was involved in Boston’s “Big Dig” project.
