Steven is the Director of Structural Engineering and Growth Leader for our Structures Practice.  He is committed to focusing on industry trends and relationships across the northeast corridor while elevating the Bala Structures brand in the marketplace.  Steve concentrates on industrial and residential markets, with a keen focus on structural dynamics, blast engineering and earthquake engineering.  He has worked on numerous high-profile projects involving strengthening building facades for blast resistance and designing structures to resist progressive collapse. 

Outside of the office, Steve is active in many trade organizations including Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute's 'Next' Program, which connects and elevates the next generation of leaders in the built environment.  He is also a member of the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers and American Institute of Steel Construction.  Steve also serves on the Board for the Sedgeley Club on Boat House Row, serving as the resident engineer to preserve the historic structure.
