In an effort to refresh their existing space and accommodate new growth, Capital One embarked on a large scale, three year, multi-phase project to fully renovate 800 and 802 Delaware Avenue to create a singular corporate campus-like facility.
The first phase of the project involved the renovation of levels 5, 8 and 10 at 800 Delaware Avenue and levels 9 and 14 at 802 Delaware Avenue, which also included the decommissioning of the existing Enterprise Data Center space. A new MDF space was also created within the building.
The second phase involved work on floors 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 at building 802 that included work spaces and renovations to the amenity area on the first floor. Amenities included a cafeteria, conference and security areas.
Bala also executed a major infrastructure renovation to Building 802, which included the replacement of a 330 ton chiller, cooling tower, addition of variable frequency drives, and other upgrades throughout the building. The entire project includes LED lighting and an advanced lighting control system, which interfaces with the clients building-wide controls.
Bala also provided electrical engineering services for the new automatic revolving security doors at the front entrance of building 802. MEP/FP and structural services were also provided for the new revolving door in the rear entrance.
