This internationally known confidential technology company relocated to their new 44,000 SF Downtown Boston office in Center Plaza, a former FBI Office. Bala provided engineering services for this space, designed to support engineering and software design, while also offering employees a strong sense of place and community.
The interior fit-out project includes a spacious 20,000 SF cafeteria and multipurpose dining area, as well as dedicated makeup air and exhaust systems for the current cafeteria. This included two full commercial kitchen operations in the building.
Bala provided extensive structural and mechanical design to navigate existing interstitial space that resides above the exterior three-story entry. The project also supported a game area and lounge, tech bar, and large executive training rooms with foldable partition wall systems. This project also involved the demarcation of sublease for the client’s subcorporations.
