Bala has executed ongoing design services for Digital Realty Trust at five locations on their New York Metro Campus. Commissioning and testing was also performed throughout these sites.
All projects have taken place in live environment Data Centers with special design consideration for implementation without affecting the client’s customers. The project’s scope included the installation of new UPS systems, STS, PDUs or PPs, CRAC units and DC plants. In addition, new HVAC equipment was installed and fuel oil work was completed on an existing generator.
Various critical electrical and mechanical equipment has been replaced for end of use life at numerous sites. Most recently, Bala has completed the design of a cooling tower system replacement at 111 8th Avenue in New York, as well as a complete HVAC system upgrade for the Telx 24th floor Data Center at 32 Avenue of the Americas in New York.
