Originally constructed in 1898, this old building, which was previously being used as student housing, was renovated into a 217-unit, luxury apartment building situated on the Avenue of the Arts in downtown Center City Philadelphia. This apartment building includes a large lobby, fitness center, theater room, clubroom, interior courtyard and roof deck amenity areas. The first three floors consist of retail and office space.
Bala’s Commissioning Group verified that the building’s energy-related systems were installed and performed according to the owner’s project requirements, basis of design and construction documents. Commissioning activities were initiated in the pre-design phase and continued through the construction phases involving actual performance testing, concluding with acceptance by the owner.
