The Lycra Company, which creates the very popular synthetic stretch fabric used in most jeans, swimwear and workout wear renovated 25,000 square feet of space for their new global headquarters in Delaware.

The office includes offices, open workstations, conference rooms, a boardroom, huddle spaces and breakout spaces.
Bala performed the design for the IT systems, Audio and Visual and Soundmasking.  Bala was tasked by Lycra to drive all things technology-related, including coordinating with a separate security design consultant and the construction team, assembling a move schedule and being granted permission to speak with and facilitate activities with the internet service providers (ISP)s on Lycra’s behalf.  This was granted via email exchange between Lycra and the providers without a formal letter of agency, which put us in direct communication.

Bala was also responsible for on-barding and coordination of the network integration team for new network gear and relocation of existing equipment from the old site in conjunction with Lycra’s network engineers.

These efforts kept Bala involved in a higher level than our typical scope, which aided in a successful project for the owner, design team, contractors and integrators.
