To meet the growing needs of the 6th District, PennDOT needed a new regional traffic management center and parking garage. The operations center holds over half of the state's Intelligence Transportation Systems and manages the day-to-day operations of a mission critical transportation center. The design included resilient critical systems infrastructure and utilized best practices for redundancy to ensure maximum uptime for the facility. With back-up power, fuel and water sources the facility can operate at full function for many days.
Our technology systems design included the IT infrastructure, access control, video surveillance, and a backbone connection from the new facility to the existing facility.
The parking garage accommodates 250 vehicles and has 10 EV charging stations in the garage, as well as 10 more EV stations on the surface lot.
