The Study Hotel is a concept derived from Hospitality 3, a hotel development company, that marries university markets with cultural centers by offering high quality, full-service lodging. This 212-key hotel is located on Drexel's campus in University City.
The unique, 10-story hotel features a 7,000 SF banquet and meeting space, a 105-seat corner restaurant, bar, and well equipped fitness center.
The project included high-efficiency vertical stack water source heat pump systems for hotel suites and high-efficiency horizontal water source heat pumps and stand alone RTUs for common spaces. This allowed the owner to control zones differently during operating hours. The building also incudes a central domestic hot water system with high-efficiency gas boilers, low flow plumbing fixtures to save water and energy and lighting control systems throughout promote energy efficiency and provide maximum flexibility to the owner.
