This 51-story tower houses a Starwood Hotel & Resorts dual branded facility, which includes a 295-room W Hotel and a 460-room Element hotel. The project also includes retail spaces along Chestnut Street, parking for 171 cars, food and banquet facilities and panoramic views of the city.
The HVAC system and the envelope have been developed in tandem to provide a high performance building. The system incorporates high efficiency heat pumps, condensing boilers, heat recovery and reduced flow water systems. The electrical service is a dual service with sufficient emergency generator capacity to provide support for critical hotel loads.
The W Philadelphia features a distinctive lobby on Chestnut Street, with the signature W Living Room, as well as a 150-seat restaurant, a 7,000 square foot wet outdoor terrace with a year-round heated pool and 45,000 square foot meeting and event space.
The Element Philadelphia features a separate lobby on Chestnut Street with elevator access to the main second floor lobby. The Element lobby includes a 1,400 square foot breakfast and lounge area, as well as a fitness center and meeting space.
