As Vice President and member of the leadership team for Bala’s Philadelphia and New York offices, John provides leadership in the design and manages the delivery of mission critical, commissioning and building infrastructure projects of various sizes and scope. He is responsible for the overall project execution and management for mission critical projects, working with clients to collaborate on a wide range of technical systems solutions and facilitates an overall understanding of his client’s goals and objectives. He has cultivated a skillset over the past 30 years that is often sought after due to the precision required when dealing with the design and commissioning of critical systems infrastructure, specifically, working with ‘live’ Data Center environments. This broad base of knowledge and experience allows John to apply a myriad of technologies and strategies available to most effectively address the distinct goals and objectives for Bala’s clients.
During his tenure at Bala, he is responsible for delivering a variety of mission critical project types: Data Centers, Command / Control Centers, Call Centers, and Information Technology Facilities. Notable projects include: various infrastructure upgrades and Load Management for the City of New York’s E-911 Emergency Operation Centers in Brooklyn and the Bronx, DoITT/FDNY&NYPD Data Centers, Nasdaq’s Philadelphia Exchange, New Jersey Fiber Exchange (NJFX) Sub-sea Cabling Landing Station Data Center, 1547 Critical Systems Realty Colocation Data Centers in Orangeburg NY and Cheyenne Wyoming.
He frequently attends and has presented at the 7x24 Exchange Delaware Valley Chapter meetings and attends the 7x24 Exchange International conferences. He has also presented at the Northern Virginia Technology Council on ‘Innovations in Power & Cooling Systems’.
